The Origins of Two Aircraft Parked for 20 Years on PTDI Land Revealed
Jakarta - For over 20 years, Boeing 737-200 aircraft PK-IJI (MSN-22125) and PK-IJJ (MSN-22130) have been parked on the PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) property in Bandung. The aircraft's owner is unknown.
PTDI Head of Public Relations, Annisa Carolina, stated that the company is still searching for the aircraft's owner. The aircraft were delivered in 2005.
"In 2005, Buroq collaborated with PT ANI to perform maintenance on these two aircraft. However, over time, PT ANI changed ownership, and maintenance on these aircraft ceased," Annisa said, as reported by detikJabar, Tuesday (June 9, 2026).
Annisa explained that PT ANI brought the two aircraft to PTDI because it lacked repair facilities. Therefore, the repairs were carried out in collaboration with PTDI.
"Because PT ANI lacks maintenance facilities, the work was transferred to PTDI. Furthermore, it's a historical precedent, before PT ANI and Bouraq. These two aircraft were from PT PAN," he explained.
"PT PAN was also a state-owned enterprise in Indonesia, but it no longer exists. Back in 2005, during the Soeharto era, 10 aircraft were given to be sold to several Indonesian airlines, some of which went to PT Buroq. That's why Buroq wanted to work with PT ANI on the maintenance, but use PTDI's facilities," he added.
