Two Mysterious Planes Parked for 20 Years at PTDI

Bandung - PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) is currently facing questions regarding the whereabouts of two aircraft parked on its premises.

To date, the owners of the two aircraft remain a mystery. Photos received by detikJabar show the two aircraft are white and green. One aircraft bears the inscription "BURAQ" and the other "CAMAR."

The condition of the aircraft is quite concerning, appearing dirty and poorly maintained. The upper fuselage appears rusty due to being stored outside the hangar.

As a result, the aircraft are exposed to sunlight and rain daily. Adi Prastowo, Manager of Corporate Communications and Institutional Relations at PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), stated that the aircraft's owners are unknown.

"We have written to PT ANI, which has now changed ownership. PT ANI has stated that it has no connection to the aircraft," Adi said on Monday (June 8, 2026).

According to Adi, his team received information that the financing for the aircraft procurement was a state-owned company, PT PANN.

"We visited the PT PANN office in Tebet, Jakarta. There was no written explanation, but in February 2026, PT PANN was liquidated by the government. Two weeks ago, a curator visited PTDI and stated that the two aircraft were not registered in PT PANN's asset records," he concluded.
