These Aircraft Have Been Parked at PT DI for 20 Years, Their Owners Remain a Mystery

Bandung - Two aircraft have been parked on PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) land for twenty years. The owners of both aircraft remain a mystery.

The two unclaimed aircraft are parked on land owned by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI). It is not yet known who brought them into the PT DI area.

Furthermore, the origin of the aircraft, and their owners, remain a mystery. PT DI even made an announcement via their official Instagram account @ptdiofficial.

The photos shared show the two aircraft are white and green. One aircraft bears the inscription "BURAQ" and the other "CAMAR."

Meanwhile, the exterior of the aircraft is in poor condition, dirty and poorly maintained. The exterior of the aircraft is shabby because they were stored outside rather than in a hangar, exposing them to sunlight during hot weather and getting wet during rain.

Adi Prastowo, Manager of Corporate Communications and Institutional Relations at PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), stated that his company is still searching for the owners of the two aircraft. It should be noted that the two aircraft have been sitting in the PTDI area for 20 years.

"The two aircraft, labeled Bouraq and Camar, were transferred to PTDI around 2005," Adi said on Monday (June 8, 2026).

According to Adi, his company has sent a letter to the aircraft owners.

"We have written to PT ANI, which has now changed ownership. PT ANI has stated that it has no connection to the aircraft," he said.

He explained that his company received information that the buyer or funder of the aircraft procurement was a state-owned company, PT PANN.

"We visited the PT PANN office in Tebet, Jakarta. There was no written explanation, but in February 2026, PT PANN was liquidated by the government. Two weeks ago, a curator visited PTDI and stated that the two aircraft were not registered in PT PANN's asset records," Adi said.

PT DI Holds Competition to Find the Owners of Two Mysterious Aircraft

PT DI launched a competition on its official social media platform, Instagram @officialptdi. In its Instagram story, PTDI provided a complete description of the aircraft and provided a description.

When asked about the announcement on Instagram, Adi stated that it was one way to find the owners of the two aircraft.

"The announcement above is our legal requirement for further action. As stated in the announcement, perhaps there is a final legal owner for the two aircraft," Adi said.
