The 43rd Anniversary of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) which is celebrated today, Friday (23/8), is a historic moment for the world of aerospace in the country. Because, at its current age, PTDI officially flew the flying test bed for the first time.
In addition, the state-owned company will also export production and development aircraft to a number of countries by the end of this year.
PTDI's Managing Director, Elfien Goentoro, said that at the end of 2019 his party would export three aircraft to two countries. Namely CN235 and C212 aircraft.
"We hope we will be more consistent in making aircraft," said Elfien at PTDI, in the city of Bandung.
Furthermore, Elfien said that the company is currently undergoing a phase of transformation. This was done to improve the company's performance.
"The transformation is a transformation in terms of culture, business organizations and operations," he said.
At present, it has completed the company mapping and this year, it will immediately make efficiency improvements, business model and system business improvements.
"Finally, we have to be able to do development, one of the examples is that we did N219 development, which inshe is the end of the year we obtained certification," he said.
Meanwhile, in the commemoration of PT DI's 43rd anniversary, various events were also held, such as the distribution of 1,000 food packages, culinary bazaars, exhibitions of products from PT DI's fostered partners, and children's festivals.
In addition, the public was also given the opportunity to tour the hangar and see the aircraft made by PT DI and experience the sensation of explaining the N219 aircraft with a Cockpit Demonstrator.
