PTDI has Delivered 1 Unit of NC212i Aircraft to Thailand

PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has delivered 1 unit of NC212i to Thailand for Ministry of Cooperatives (MOAC) Thailand.

“NC212i ferry flight was conducted this day, from PTDI Delivery Center Hangar to Nakhon Sawan Airbase, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, that is planned to be arrived on October 24, 2019,” said PTDI Director of Commerce, Ade Yuyu Wahyuna, Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

After reviewed all the preparation and witnessed this ferry flight, Ade states that this aircraft is now flying by Captain Esther Gayatri Saleh, PTDI Chief Test Pilot as Pilot in Command Ferry & Acceptance Mission, together with Captain Ervan Gustanto as Chief of The Mission Copilot, from Husein Sastranegara Bandung International Airport and will transit at Hang Nadim Batam International Airport.

“Right after having transit in Batam, this NC212i will continue its journey to Hat Yai International Airport, Thailand, the southern side near Malaysia, and will be landed at final destination, Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand,” said Ade.

This NC212i will be accepted by Department of The Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand on October 25, 2019.

The signing of the procurement contract for these two units of NC212i aircraft has been carried out on March 17, 2019, between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. For one another unit is planned to be delivered in the end of the year.

By this time, PTDI has successfully delivered 443 units of aircrafts, both fixed wing and rotary wing.

PTDI has produced about 115 units of NC212 aircraft, from a total of 585 units of the NC212 series aircraft population in world. The prospect of aircraft industry is currently has a fairly large market share.

“The need of NC212i aircraft for the next 10 years in  world is 255 units and PTDI’s future expansion plans are in the Asia Pacific and Africa,” said Ade.

Not only that, Ade also tells that PTDI will increase the production capacity of NC212i aircraft which were originally 4 aircraft per year, to 6 aircraft per year.

“Those capacity building will begin by year 2020, to meet the NC212i target for the next 10 years,“ Ade added.
