PT DI Sent A Plane Of CN235 Orders from Nepal

Bandung: The Indonesian government continues to expand export products to non-traditional markets, one of them is by kicking off the Nepalese market. Indonesia sells CN235-220 aircraft made by PT Dirgantara Indonesia from Bandung, to Kathmandu, Nepal.
"The use of the Indonesian production aircraft by the Nepalese Army has further strengthened world confidence in the work of the nation's children," said PTDI President Director, Elfien Goentoro, quoted from the Foreign Ministry statement received by, Thursday, 31 October 2019.
The aircraft, valued at USD30.5 million, is used as a multipurpose transport. This aircraft is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu, 2 November 2019.

Delivery of this aircraft is the result of the signing of a contract between the two countries in 2017 in Kathmandu.
Nepal's believe in aircraft that is made by PTDI was strong when the Nepalese Army visited Bandung last September. Nepal also intends to order a second plane from PTDI.
Besides Nepal, PTDI is producing a number of aircraft for several countries, including Senegal and Thailand.
This aircraft purchase uses a funding system through the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI) program, which is the policy of the Government of Indonesia in the context of strengthening export financing.
The sale of CN-235 is an increase in the promotion of national strategic industries to compete in international markets according to the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition to PTDI, a number of other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) are also conducting a number of project discussions with countries in the Asia Pacific and Africa region, including, PT. Waskita Karya, PT. INKA, PT. Pindad, PT. LEN, Perum Peruri, PT Pelindo II and PT. GMF Aero Asia.
