PTDI Conducts Ferry Flight 1 (One) CN295 Special Mission for Indonesian Air Force

PTDI performs a ferry flight of 1 (one) unit CN295 Special Mission for Indonesian Air Force, on June 27, 2019 from the Husein Sastranegara Air Base, Bandung to Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta.

PTDI Technology and Development Director, Gita Amperiawan, submitted CN295 aircraft miniatures to Commander of Air Squadron 2 Transporting 1st Air Wing, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Mayor Pnb. Donny E. Prayogo in the procession of ferry flight CN295 aircraft at the Hangar Delivery Center, KP II PTDI Bandung.

Contract of Selling and buying 1 (one) unit of Aircraft CN295 Special Mission, Number: TRAK / 820 / PDN / XII / 2015 / TNI AU was signed on December 23, 2015, between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia and PTDI.

The CN295 aircraft is a development of CN235 aircraft, where fuselage be extended 3 meters, capable of carrying 50 passengers and using the latest Machines, turboprop Pratt & Whitney PW127G equipped with Six propeller blades Hamilton Standard 586-F.

CN295 aircraft can accommodate 3 consoles, equipped with Search Radar that can detect small targets up to 200 NM (Nautical Mile) and is a medium transport aircraft that can carry 71 forces with Lateral Seat Installed.

The CN295 aircraft is equipped with Automatic Identification System (AIS), an automatic tracking system to identify and locate ships and determine the position of objects, also equipped with IFF Interrogator, an identification system designed to identify opponents or friends, and equipped with SATCOM, satellite communication system.

The CN295 aircraft was an aircraft produced by an industrial collaboration between PTDI and Airbus Defense & Space (ADS) which was carried out in the PTDI production area, Bandung.

PTDI Director of Technology and Development, Gita Amperiawan hopes by submitting CN295 aircraft, can improve the performance of the TNI AU in every TNI AU operation. The CN295 TNI AU aircraft was the 11th aircraft sent by PTDI, where PTDI had handed over 9 CN295 aircraft operated by Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU).

"Hopefully it can improve performances of TNI AU in every air operation. We are happy to be able to provide support for the needs of the Government." said Gita Amperiawan.

The N219 aircraft is a passenger aircraft with a capacity of 19 people with two turboprop engines which referred to CASR Part 23 regulations.

N219 aircraft design process since testing, certification, until the production process series is domestic-made. The N219 aircraft has ability to take off on a short runway which is not prepared so that it will support the connectivity of inter-island especially in the Pioneer area.
