PTDI Conducts Ferry Flight of One Unit NC212i Aircraft for MIinistry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) Thailand

Bandung, October 22, 2019 – Public Relations of PTDI

PTDI delivers one unit of NC212i aircraft for Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) Thailand and today on October 22, 2019, this aircraft has perfomed its ferry flight from PTDI Delivery Center Hangar, Bandung, to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, that is planned to be arrived on October 24, 2019.

Director of Commerce PTDI, Ade Yuyu Wahyuna reviewed all the preparation and witnessed the ferry flight of NC212i aircraft which later will be operated by Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand, as the end user.

Captain Esther Gayatri Saleh, PTDI Chief Test Pilot as Pilot in Command Ferry & Acceptance Mission, together with Captain Ervan Gustanto as Chief of The Mission Copilot are flying the aircraft from Husein Sastranegara International Airport to Hang Nadim International Airport, Batam, Hat Yai International Airport, Thailand, the southern side near Malaysia, and will be landed at Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand on October 24, 2019. A moment afterward, this NC212i aircraft will conduct the Final Acceptance by Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand.

The signing of the procurement contract for these two units of NC212i aircraft has been carried out on March 17, 2019, between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. For one another unit is planned to be delivered on November 2019.

This NC212i aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop/paratroop transport and also medical evacuation which can be installed alternately according to the operational needs of MOAC Thailand. This NC212i aircraft has been fully manufactured by PTDI, the one and only aircraft industry in world that currently still producing NC212i.

“The NC212i is a multipurpose aircraft, the latest generation of NC212 series with a capacity of 28 passengers, has ramp door, spacious cabin in its class, modern navigation and communication system with a lower operating costs but remains competitive in the small-medium aircraft market,” said Ade Yuyu Wahyuna, Director of Commerce PTDI.

PTDI is always ready to fulfill another next order from MOAC Thailand to support them in fulfilling basic tasks and functions of Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation.

The N219 aircraft has the ability to take off on a short and unpaved runway, so it can be the connectivity of inter-island, especially in Pioneer areas.
