Coincide with Hari Pahlawan 2019, PTDI delivers one unit of NC212i aircraft to Thailand Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) from PTDI Delivery Center Hangar, Bandung, to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, that is planned to be arrived on November 11, 2019.
The NC212i aircraft delivered today completes the procurement contract of two units NC212i aircraft between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. with the end user Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand.
The first NC212i was delivered back on October 22, 2019, and today the second NC212i has perfomed its ferry flight which is executed one month faster than date written on contract.
PTDI SVP Corporate Planning & Program Management, Iwan Krisnanto reviewed all the preparation and witnessed the ferry flight of NC212i aircraft which later will be operated by Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand, as the end user.
Captain Zulda Hendra as Pilot in Command and Captain Billy Yudha Firmansyah as Copilot are flying the aircraft from Husein Sastranegara International Airport to Hang Nadim International Airport, Batam, and will be landed at Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination.
This NC212i will have the Final Acceptance hereafter by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand, on November 12, 2019.
This NC212i aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop/paratroop transport and also medical evacuation which can be installed alternately according to the operational needs of MOAC Thailand. This NC212i aircraft has been fully manufactured by PTDI, the one and only aircraft industry in world that currently still producing NC212i.
Dated today, PTDI has successfully produced and delivered 116 units of NC212i to many customers, both local and international customers, from 587 units total of NC212i population in world.
Local customers that is operating NC212 series are Indonesian Air Force, Indonesian Navy, Indonesian Army, Indonesian National Police, BPPT, which those NC212 series are being used for Passenger Transport, Military Transport and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA). While the international customers that is operating NC212 series are coming from Thailand for Military Transport and Rain Making, Philippines and Vietnam for Military Transport.
The prospect of the aircraft industry currently has a fairly large market share, especially in commercial aircraft. The needs of NC212i aircraft in world for the next 10 years is about 255 units. And PTDI’s future expansion plans are in the Asia Pacific and Africa region.
On year 2020, PTDI will will increase NC212i's aircraft production capacity which was originally four aircrafts per year, to six aircrafts per year to meet the needs of NC212i aircraft in world for the next 10 years.
The NC212i is a multipurpose aircraft, the latest generation of NC212 series with a capacity of 28 passengers, has ramp door, spacious cabin in its class, modern navigation and communication system with a lower operating costs but remains competitive in the small-medium aircraft market.
PTDI is always ready to fulfill another next order from MOAC Thailand to support them in fulfilling basic tasks and functions of Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation.

The N219 aircraft has the ability to take off on a short and unpaved runway, so it can be the connectivity of inter-island, especially in Pioneer areas.
