PT Karya Logistik Indotama Purchases 11 Units of N219 Aircraft Made by PTDI

President Director of PTDI, Gita Amperiawan and President Director of PT Karya Logistik Indotama, Krishna Soejitno signed a Sales and Purchase Contract for 11 (eleven) N219 Aircraft Units with passenger carrying configurations and their equipment, including Basic Integrated Logistic Support which includes: training, technical publications, technician support, warranty, spare parts support and ground support equipment.

The total contract price for the sale and purchase of 11 (eleven) N219 aircraft units is USD 80.5 Million. The signing of the contract was witnessed by the Indonesian Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto and Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa.

The first N219 aircraft is planned to be delivered by PTDI to PT Karya Logistik Indotama at 28 months after the contract becomes effective, and the second unit up to the eleventh unit of the N219 Aircraft is delivered in stages every 4 (four) months after the previous N219 Aircraft.

PT Karya Logistik Indotama (PT KLI) is an Indonesian company engaged in Mining, Trading and Logistics. The President Director of PT KLI, Mr. Krishna Soejitno who also acts as the Leader of Hebitren (Economic and Business Relations of Pondok Pesantren), has several other companies in the energy sector. PT KLI will utilize the N219 to improve passenger and logistics connectivity in remote areas to larger airports, for example: Hajj, Umrah, Business Activities, etc.

In order to support after-sales service products, PTDI has owned and operated facilities and overhauls, including avonics, electrical, instrument, transmission, hydraulic and propeller workshops. PTDI will also provide 1 (one) set of publications for each N219 aircraft in accordance with Air Transportation Association (ATA) Chapter specifications and provide 1 (one) Technical Assistance person for 6 (six) months at the designated facility of PT Karya Logistik Indotama.

The N219 aircraft, which has reached a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of 44.69%, is the result of PTDI's collaboration with the National Research & Innovation Agency (formerly LAPAN) which on August 16, 2017 conducted its inaugural flight test and on November 10, 2017 was named "Nurtanio" by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, until finally successfully obtaining a Type Certificate (TC) on December 22, 2020 issued by the civil airworthiness authority, in this case the competent authority in the territory of Indonesia is the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operation (DKUPPU), Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.
