PTDI Signs Procurement Contract for 6 NC212i Units in the Philippines

On April 13, 2023, at the Department of National Defense (DND) office, Quezon City, Philippines, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) and DND Philippines signed a procurement contract for 6 (six) NC212i aircraft units and spare parts, which will then be operated by the Philippines Air Force. The procurement contract was signed by PTDI Group Head Commercial, Indar Atmoko and witnessed by Engr. Samuel A Castro representing the Philippine Ministry of National Defense.
During the working visit of the President of the Philippines, Marcos Jr. to Jakarta to meet the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo on September 05, 2022, it was also conveyed regarding the Philippines' commitment to realize the plan to purchase NC212i aircraft from PTDI. Until finally the aircraft procurement contract can be carried out, as a follow-up to the determination of the tender winner (notice of award) by DND Philippines which was announced on March 10, 2023.
In addition to the aircraft procurement contract, PTDI also obtained a maintenance contract for 2 (two) units of NC212i Philippines Air Force aircraft purchased from PTDI in 2014, where the two aircraft will be flown to Bandung at the end of April 2023 and carried out maintenance at PTDI Bandung facilities.
"The procurement of 6 NC212i units is a continuation of the procurement of 2 previous units in 2014. This indicates that PTDI's products are of a quality that can be selected.
