PTDI Partners with FROGS Indonesia to Drive Drone Business Expansion into Export Markets

PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Inovasi Solusi Transportasi Indonesia (FROGS Indonesia) on the marketing, production, and business expansion of drones for export markets. The MoU was signed by PTDI’s Director of Commerce, Technology & Development, Moh. Arif Faisal, and FROGS Indonesia’s Director, Asro Nasiri, and was witnessed by PTDI President Director, Gita Amperiawan on the second day of the Singapore Airshow 2026 at PTDI’s booth A-L31, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

FROGS Indonesia is a company focused on the development and manufacturing of drone technology, particularly for the agricultural sector (sprayer drones), aerial mapping, cargo surveillance, and even passenger drones. This collaboration aligns with PTDI’s experience in developing unmanned aerial platforms for various applications, and the synergy between both parties is expected to strengthen the development of practical, adaptive drone solutions tailored to user needs.

Joint Marketing and Promotion

Through this MoU, PTDI and FROGS Indonesia agreed to carry out joint marketing and promotion of drone products for overseas markets, joint manufacturing, technology transfer, and research and development to improve drone system performance and capabilities. The collaboration also includes exploring each party’s capabilities, with PTDI playing a role in strengthening system development, utilizing manufacturing facilities, and supporting international marketing networks, including potential support from Indonesian embassies abroad for drone applications in the agriculture and livestock sectors.

“This cooperation is a strategic step for PTDI in expanding its unmanned aerial system capabilities, particularly in platform development, system integration, and manufacturing readiness for the global market. Through this collaboration, PTDI encourages the development of drones that are not only aeronautically superior, but also reliable in terms of system performance, mission flexibility, and readiness for various operational needs, including surveillance, mapping, and non-combat mission support. This synergy is expected to strengthen the independence of the national drone industry while enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian products in international markets,” said Moh. Arif Faisal, Director of Commerce, Technology & Development of PTDI.

PTDI’s collaboration with FROGS Indonesia complements its capabilities in Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) development across various application segments. Previously, PTDI has developed several UAS platforms, including the Wulung UAS and the MALE Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) “Elang Hitam,” reflecting PTDI’s commitment to continuously building unmanned aerial vehicle technology competencies.

Through these initiatives, PTDI adopts a comprehensive approach to UAS development, ranging from civil applications such as agricultural drones to more advanced UAS systems, in support of strengthening the national aerospace industry ecosystem.
