Five Decades of PTDI and a New Challenge: Can MSMEs Take Flight Too?

Bandung, BandungOke – PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) marked its 50th anniversary not only with ceremonial activities, but also by providing business legality and halal certification facilitation for 10 of its assisted MSMEs in Bandung on Monday, August 24, 2026.

In collaboration with the West Java Provincial Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) and Ayo Halal Consultant, PTDI assisted MSME entrepreneurs in understanding and obtaining their Business Identification Number (NIB) and halal certification.

These legal requirements are considered important in strengthening the professionalism and competitiveness of MSMEs while expanding their access to broader markets.

The initiative was part of PTDI’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activities held as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, which carried the theme “Golden Legacy, Global Horizon: Safeguarding National Sovereignty, Soaring on the World Stage.”

PTDI President Director Gita Amperiawan said that reaching 50 years represents a long journey built on courage and hard work.

“Fifty years is not merely a passage of time, but a journey marked by the courage to dream big, work hard, rise in the face of challenges, and prove that Indonesia is capable of standing tall in the aerospace industry,” said Gita in a press statement on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

In addition to supporting MSMEs, PTDI also presented awards related to occupational safety, health, and environmental management. The Company also organized a free mass circumcision program for 50 orphaned children and provided financial assistance.

A blood donation drive held on August 20–21 was attended by 115 PTDI personnel. The collected blood was distributed through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Bandung City.

At the age of half a century, PTDI now faces a dual challenge: preserving the legacy of Indonesia’s national aerospace industry while ensuring that its presence continues to generate broader economic and social benefits.
