PTDI Turns 50, Empowering MSMEs and Strengthening the Aerospace Industry

BANDUNG, WWW.PASJABAR.COM – PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), also known as PTDI, marks its 50th anniversary with a renewed commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s national aerospace industry while expanding its benefits to the community.

PTDI commemorated its 50th anniversary with a ceremony at the PTDI Delivery Center Apron in Bandung on Monday (August 24, 2026). The event was attended by the Board of Directors, management, and all PTDI personnel.

This year’s anniversary carries the theme “Golden Legacy, Global Horizon: Safeguarding National Sovereignty, Soaring on the World Stage.”

The theme reflects PTDI’s five-decade journey as well as the Company’s determination to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia’s aerospace industry on the global stage.

A Testament to the Capabilities of the Nation’s People

PTDI President Director Gita Amperiawan said that PTDI’s 50-year journey represents more than just the Company’s age; it also reflects the long-standing dedication and struggle of Indonesia’s aerospace community.

“Fifty years is not merely a passage of time, but a journey marked by the courage to dream big, work hard, rise in the face of challenges, and prove that Indonesia is capable of standing tall in the aerospace industry,” said Gita.

According to him, PTDI’s various achievements have been built through hard work and confidence in the capabilities of Indonesia’s human resources.

“The sons and daughters of Indonesia are capable of creating and contributing to their own skies,” he said.

On the occasion, PTDI also presented awards for the 2026 Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System Implementation Performance.

The awards were presented to several divisions in the workshop and office categories.

The recognition serves as an appreciation for the Company’s personnel for their consistent commitment to maintaining workplace safety, occupational health, and environmental standards.

PTDI Supports MSMEs in Obtaining NIB and Halal Certification

PTDI’s 50th anniversary commemoration extended beyond internal activities. The Company also carried out Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiatives aimed at encouraging its assisted MSMEs to become more professional.

PTDI held a socialization and facilitation program on business legality and halal certification for its assisted MSMEs at the PTDI Dharma Wanita Building in Bandung on Monday (August 24, 2026).

PTDI collaborated with the West Java Provincial Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) and Ayo Halal Consultant for the program.

A total of 10 PTDI-assisted MSMEs participated in the socialization. They received guidance and facilitation to fulfill business legality requirements through the Business Identification Number (NIB) and obtain halal certification.

The initiative provides opportunities for PTDI-assisted MSMEs to strengthen consumer confidence while expanding their market access.

PTDI hopes that compliance with business legality requirements and halal standards will help the MSMEs develop their businesses in a more professional and sustainable manner.

Free Mass Circumcision for 50 Orphaned Children

PTDI also organized social activities for communities living around the Company.

In collaboration with the Habiburrahman Mosque Management Board (DKM), the Company held a free mass circumcision program at the PTDI Habiburrahman Mosque. The program was provided for 50 orphaned children living in the surrounding area.

PTDI involved medical personnel from the PTDI Polyclinic to provide circumcision services. The Company also provided financial assistance to the 50 orphaned children who participated in the program.

The social activity was part of PTDI’s efforts to deliver direct benefits to communities living around the Company.

Blood Donation Drive Involves 115 PTDI Personnel

PTDI’s 50th anniversary series also included a blood donation drive held on August 20–21, 2026, at the PTDI Education and Training Building.

A total of 115 PTDI personnel participated in the activity. PTDI subsequently distributed all collected blood through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Bandung City.

The blood donation drive helped meet community blood needs while supporting the availability of blood supplies in the Bandung area.

Entering its fifth decade, PTDI remains committed to preserving the legacy and experience it has built. At the same time, the Company continues to prepare new initiatives to address developments in the aerospace industry.

The spirit of “Golden Legacy, Global Horizon” is reflected not only through PTDI’s efforts to strengthen its business and industrial capabilities, but also through its tangible contributions to the community and the environment surrounding the Company.
