Monday (24/8) was the most fun day for me, because I was chosen to be a Media Indonesia Child Reporter in celebration of PT Dirgantara Indonesia's (PTDI) 50th anniversary.
Here, I was taken on a tour around the aircraft manufacturing factory using PT Dirgantara Indonesia's Bandros bus. From inside the Bandros, I looked at the scenery and saw many really impressive aircraft.
Next, I visited the Mock-Up Gallery Building. In this gallery, there are so many aircraft replicas, one of which is a replica of the NC212i aircraft. Here, I also had the chance to board a CN235-type aircraft. This was a first-time experience for me, so I felt really happy.
I was very amazed the first time I stepped into the FAL Hangar. There, I also saw the offices of PT Dirgantara Indonesia's amazing workers.
After the factory visit was over, I returned to the BJ Habibie Auditorium to take part in a press conference together with PT Dirgantara Indonesia's board of directors.
On this occasion, Mrs. Dhias Widhiyati, Director of Finance and Human Resources, and Mr. Dena Hendriana, Director of Production, were present.
I had the chance to ask Mrs. Dhias Widhiyati, "How long does it take and how much does it cost to build an aircraft?"
Mrs. Dhias Widhiyati also had a message for all Indonesian children to keep chasing their dreams.
"To reach high dreams, children must keep dreaming big, stay disciplined, and pray," she said.
I would like to say happy 50th anniversary to PT Dirgantara Indonesia. May it continue to thrive and keep producing the best work for Indonesia.
