PTDI and Koharmatau Strengthen Collaboration in Aircraft and Helicopter Maintenance
Sindojabar.com – PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI) and the Air Force Materiel Maintenance Command (Koharmatau) are strengthening collaboration to support the sustainability of maintenance for the Indonesian Air Force's (TNI AU) aircraft and helicopters.
This collaboration was realized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the Utilization of Resources and Aircraft/Helicopter Maintenance Facilities.
The PKS was signed by PTDI President Director, Gita Amperiawan, and Koharmatau Commander, Air Vice Marshal (Marsekal Muda TNI) Rudolf P. Buulolo, at the Basir Surya Meeting Room, Koharmatau, on Thursday (17/09). This partnership marks a strategic step in integrating PTDI's industrial capabilities with the resources and facilities owned by TNI AU, in order to strengthen support for the maintenance of TNI AU's air fleet.
On this occasion, both parties also signed a Side Letter agreement as a follow-up to the aircraft/helicopter maintenance cooperation, as well as a cooperation agreement on the procurement of spare parts and maintenance (Harwat) for TNI AU's CN235 aircraft. Under this arrangement, Koharmatau will provide support in the form of personnel, equipment, facilities, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Meanwhile, PTDI will provide the personnel needed to support the implementation of the work, including technical support and maintenance to maintain the operational readiness of TNI AU's aircraft.
This collaboration reflects PTDI's commitment, as a defense industry player, to providing sustained support for aircraft it has produced and to optimizing their utilization for the end-user, in this case, TNI AU.
"This cooperation is important to ensure that the fleet's capabilities are maintained and meet TNI AU's Optimum Essential Force requirements. For us, this cooperation is also a form of commitment to continue supporting the maintenance needs of TNI AU's defense equipment. Through the technical competence of human resources and the facilities owned by each party, we hope that maintenance activities can be carried out in a more coordinated manner in line with actual needs," said Gita Amperiawan, PTDI President Director.
Meanwhile, Koharmatau Commander, Air Vice Marshal Rudolf P. Buulolo, said, "I see this cooperation as highly significant, not only in supporting the implementation of maintenance, but also in enhancing human resource competence, strengthening the transfer of knowledge and experience, and building maintenance capabilities that are increasingly independent and sustainable." ***
