Dirgantara Indonesia Targets Revenue of IDR 3.7 Trillion in 2024
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Member of the defense industry BUMN Holding, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) targets revenue to reach IDR 3.7 trillion in 2024 or an increase of 19% from the sales forecast throughout last year. PTDI is also optimistic that it can achieve a net profit of IDR 24 billion.
Dirgantara Indonesia's corporate secretary, Gemma Grimaldi, explained that the target value still has the potential to change because the 2024 Company Budget Work Plan (RKAP) will only be ratified at the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which will be held at the end of January 2024.
"There is still potential for changes in value," said Gemma to Kontan, Friday (19/1).
Nevertheless, Gemma admitted that he was optimistic that PTDI's performance would improve compared to the previous year, considering that at the end of 2023 it had succeeded in scoring several contracts for the procurement of new aircraft and maintenance and maintenance work (harwat) which would then record revenue in 2024.
Gemma revealed a number of contracts carried out by PTDI last year. Starting from the contract to procure 6 NC212i aircraft for DND Philippines in August 2023.
Then, the contract for the procurement of Harwat Aircraft and phase III flight helicopters, the procurement of one CN235 aircraft for the Indonesian Navy, eight N219 aircraft for the Indonesian Army in November 2023. As well as the contract for the procurement of S-70M Black Hawk helicopters for the Indonesian Army in December 2023.
Gemma added, for this year PTDI is targeting the project contract value to reach IDR 19.7 trillion.
To achieve this target PTDI will carry out a number of strategies. First, optimize the absorption of the remainder of the Ministry of Defense's 2020-2024 strategic plan. Second, commercialization of the N219 aircraft through the Bappenas National Economic Transformation program.
"There is quite large potential in the commercial market for the N219 aircraft, where the N219 aircraft has been designated by Bappenas as air transportation that will be used for the national economic transformation program. The Riau Islands will be the pilot project for this program," he said.
The third strategy, PTDI will increase aircraft exports to Southeast Asian and African markets. Specifically, Gemma explained that CN235 aircraft are of interest to the African market and NC212 aircraft are for customers or end users in Southeast Asia.
"For the export market, the CN235 and NC212 aircraft are still quite popular with the international market," he said.
Then, PTDI will also develop the N219 Amphibious aircraft together with Bappenas and ITB. Lastly, increasing the engineering services business with strategic partners such as Turkish Aerospace Industries, Korean Aerospace Industries and other partners.
