PTDI and PT ANI Forge Strategic Partnership to Strengthen National MRO Ecosystem

North Jakarta (10/07) – Opening the agenda on the second day of the IISAR 2026 exhibition, Indonesian Aerospace (IAe) better known as (PTDI) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia (PT ANI) as an initial foundation for cooperation in the fields of maintenance, repair, overhaul, and the use of aircraft support facilities along with their related supporting activities. The PKS was signed by PTDI's Director of Commerce and Development, Moh. Arif Faisal, and PT ANI's President Director, Otto Sigit Budianto.

This agreement forms the foundation for PTDI and PT ANI to develop various synergy opportunities in the field of MRO, covering the use of hangars legally owned and/or controlled by either party, human resources, work equipment, tools, hangar equipment, and logistics facilities, the implementation of which will be carried out based on operational needs, capabilities, further agreement between the parties, and applicable laws and regulations. Through this collaboration, both companies are committed to strengthening the capacity and competitiveness of the national MRO industry in order to support the independence of the national aviation industry and enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia's MRO services at the regional level.

Strengthening the MRO ecosystem cannot be separated from facility readiness, industry capability, and certified human resources that meet international airworthiness standards. Therefore, collaboration among national industry players is an important step in supporting the development of increasingly competitive and sustainable MRO services.

"PTDI believes that strengthening the national MRO industry can only be achieved through complementary collaboration among domestic industry players. The partnership with PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia serves as a foundation to optimize the use of facilities, human resource competencies, and the technical capabilities of both companies. We hope this synergy will not only increase the capacity and quality of national MRO services but also strengthen the independence of Indonesia's aerospace industry and open up greater opportunities for national MRO services to compete in the regional market," said PTDI's Director of Commerce and Development, Moh. Arif Faisal.

PTDI, through its Aircraft Services (ACS) unit, plays an important role in providing MRO services for various types of aircraft and helicopters, for both military and civilian needs. Supported by internationally standardized facilities, experienced experts, and capabilities covering maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and aircraft capability upgrades, ACS PTDI continues to strengthen its position as one of the pillars of the national MRO service industry.

In line with this capability development, PTDI has established a strategic partnership with PT ANI to develop synergies in support of strengthening national MRO services. This collaboration is expected to optimize the use of resources and capabilities held by both companies, thereby improving the efficiency and capacity of national MRO services while strengthening the domestic aviation industry ecosystem. Through this synergy, both companies are committed to supporting the realization of national aviation industry independence and enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesia's MRO services at the regional level.

"This cooperation is a positive step for PT ANI to strengthen synergy within the national MRO ecosystem. Through this partnership, PT ANI supports the strengthening of the capacity and competitiveness of Indonesia's MRO services in accordance with the capabilities, certifications, and approvals we hold, while always prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance," said Otto Sigit Budianto, President Director of PT ANI.

Going forward, both companies will follow up on this agreement through discussions on various mutually agreed programs and cooperation initiatives, in line with business development needs and the strengthening of the national MRO ecosystem. This collaboration is expected to be a strategic step in advancing an increasingly integrated, competitive, and sustainable national MRO ecosystem.
