PTDI Officially Partners with ANI, Indonesia's Aircraft Maintenance Industry Ready to Compete in the Regional Market

DESKJABAR – Indonesian Aerospace (IAe) or (PTDI) has officially established a strategic partnership with PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia (PT ANI) to strengthen the aircraft maintenance business within Indonesia's Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem. The agreement was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the second day of the Indonesia International Smart Aviation & Airport Expo (IISAR) 2026, in Jakarta, on Friday, July 10, 2026.

The PKS was signed by PTDI's Director of Commerce and Development, Moh. Arif Faisal, together with PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia's President Director, Otto Sigit Budianto. Through this cooperation, both companies will develop various synergy opportunities in the field of MRO, ranging from the use of hangars, human resources, and work equipment, to tools, hangar equipment, and logistics facilities, in accordance with operational needs and applicable regulations.

The collaboration is expected to boost the capacity and competitiveness of the national MRO industry while strengthening the independence of Indonesia's aviation industry so it can compete at the regional level.

"PTDI believes that strengthening the national MRO industry can only be achieved through complementary collaboration among domestic industry players. The partnership with PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia serves as a foundation to optimize the use of facilities, human resource competencies, and the technical capabilities of both companies," said PTDI's Director of Commerce and Development, Moh. Arif Faisal.

He expressed hope that this synergy would not only improve the capacity and quality of national MRO services, but also open up greater opportunities for Indonesia to become a key player in the aircraft maintenance industry in the Asian region.

Optimizing Facilities and Certified Human Resources

PTDI believes that strengthening the MRO ecosystem depends not only on adequate facilities, but also on industry capability and human resources certified to international airworthiness standards. Cooperation among national industry players is seen as an important step toward delivering MRO services that are increasingly competitive, efficient, and sustainable.

Through its Aircraft Services (ACS) unit, PTDI has long been one of the providers of MRO services for various types of aircraft and helicopters, for both military and civilian needs. Supported by internationally standardized facilities, experienced experts, and capabilities in maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and aircraft capability upgrades, ACS PTDI continues to strengthen its position as one of the main pillars of the national MRO industry.

PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia's President Director, Otto Sigit Budianto, stated that this cooperation is a strategic step to strengthen synergy within the national MRO ecosystem.

"This cooperation is a positive step for PT ANI to strengthen synergy within the national MRO ecosystem. Through this partnership, PT ANI supports the strengthening of the capacity and competitiveness of Indonesia's MRO services in accordance with the capabilities, certifications, and approvals we hold, while always prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance," he said.

Going forward, PTDI and PT ANI will follow up on the agreement through various cooperation programs in line with the business development needs of both companies. This synergy is expected to give rise to a national MRO ecosystem that is increasingly integrated, competitive, and sustainable, while also strengthening Indonesia's position as an aircraft maintenance service hub in the regional area.
